Architects and General Contractors, while certainly working for you, need to watch out for themselves and their own bottom line. A Recent Sterns & Associates Success Story: There was a dispute between an owner and contractor over who was responsible for paying permit costs. The contractor came to the owner with a $100,000 bill for construction permits that, per their contract, were the owner’s to pay. Sterns & Associates brought the contractor to the table and by the end of the conversation all parties left the office smiling and the owner was not required to pay a cent. Sterns & Associates saved this owner $100,000.

 

While we have gained respect for our clear, straightforward, consistent mediation with city officials, designers, contractors, and clients, our true strength is as persuasive negotiators.
